Del's
own words
(from the book's dust jacket):
I
guess I'm kind of hard-headed. I mean, I rejected the call to join Voice
of Prophecy three times. After the third call, I was pacing the floor,
wringing my hands, tears streaming down my face--what should I do? My
mom, perceptive and wise, said, "Del, you remind me of Jonah running
away from Ninevah. If it bothers you that much, you'd better go!"
Accepting the call to come to the Voice of Prophecy to sing for the Master
was a life-changing decision. And for the past 55 years I've traveled
all over the world representing the Voice of Prophecy--and, most importantly,
the Lord!
Some of the incidents that come to mind in telling my life story may seem
rather trivial. But anything that changes a life for Christ is hardly
insignificant, is it? One dear lady recently reminded me that when she
was just five years old I picked her up and hugged her, and told her,
"Jesus loves you and so do I."
That simple embrace created a memory that has lasted her a lifetime, and
she said it had encouraged her and had given her the strength to keep
on going many times when things went wrong in her life.
I hope that the stories I share in this book will give you courage as
well, and help you know that God has a wonderful plan for your life too.
